Our history
Having been active in the water sports sector since 1971, Paul Hameeteman (24 July 1949) founded Nova Yachting International BV in 1982. As he had already maintained good contacts with Hallberg-Rassy Varv AB in Sweden for a number of years – whilst working for Peek Yachting International BV at the time – becoming the exclusive importer for the Benelux was a logical next step.
Nova Yachting International BV has been based at Jachthaven Bruinisse in Bruinisse since its inception, where, in the early years, it shared office space with Jachtmakelaardij De Valk.
In the years that followed, many water sports enthusiasts found their way to Bruinisse, and Paul Hameeteman delivered numerous Hallberg-Rassy yachts to great satisfaction, both in Bruinisse and in Sweden or other stunning locations across Europe.
In 1996, Marnix Hameeteman joined NovaYachting, where he set up NovaBrokerage, a brokerage specialising in pre-owned Hallberg-Rassy yachts. In the years that followed, the company successfully sold Fjord motorboats and Maxi sailing yachts.
Since 2011, NovaYachting has been based at Jachthavenweg 71, where a magnificent new premises – featuring a spacious showroom, workshop and nautically themed meeting rooms – has been built. As a result, NovaYachting caters to almost every conceivable need of the modern water sports enthusiast.
Changes in the water sports market have led NovaYachting to broaden its scope. By stocking no fewer than four different brands of sailing and motor boats, our expert staff are much better placed to advise you in your search for the ultimate boat.
