Over dit Jacht
At the end of 2018, BENETEAU introduced the new FIRST series. Four sporty sailboats ranging from 14 to 27 feet. For the summer of 2019, we are preparing for the launch of a new FIRST era. The FIRST 53.
First 53
The FIRST 53 is pure power and elegance, fully in line with what Beneteau stands for: “Avant-garde in Boating.”
24,000 boats
Over the past 40 years, Beneteau has built more than 24,000 First boats. Many of them were and still are real winners, from major international sailing events to small local club races and everything in between.
For Beneteau, the time has come to evolve the legendary FIRST range with a stunning new sailing yacht, the FIRST 53, which fully meets the needs of sailors who love luxurious “high performance” sailing yachts. It is clear that BENETEAU, under the leadership of its new CEO Gianguido Girotti, has set out to restore the core values and excellent sailing characteristics that made BENETEAU great.
The best designers
The new design team for the FIRST 53, Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento, won the fiercely contested tender involving three major yacht designers by giving the FIRST 53 features normally only found on larger high-performance yachts, while remaining true to the FIRST DNA that has left such a strong mark on our sailing history.
Roberto Biscontini's thirty years of experience in the America's Cup has resulted in a perfectly balanced underwater hull with promising performance for the FIRST 53. Years of meticulous studies, tests, and calculations preceded the final design of the FIRST 53.
With his keen eye for detail, Lorenzo Argento was responsible for the interior and deck layout. The minimalist, distinctive design of the FIRST 53, including a low superstructure, a wide open transom, and a sleek, uncluttered cockpit, is fully in line with the wishes of the sporty and modern yacht owner.
Powerful silhouette
In addition to its stylish, powerful yet elegant silhouette, the FIRST 53 features a number of striking and less obvious but ingenious details such as a tender garage, carbon rigging, plenty of storage space inside, a real “lounge” seating area, “old-school” yacht building techniques combined with the highest quality materials in the interior, and much more.
