Swift Trawler 48: Pushing the boundaries

The new Swift Trawler 48 continues the tradition of BENETEAU's many practical, seaworthy, long-distance sailors. The Andreani design focuses on practical, comfortable living on board and is the next evolutionary step in the richness of Beneteau's Trawler DNA and feedback from its extensive customer base.

At 14.74 meters long overall and 4.50 meters wide, the Swift Trawler 48 is a fantastic addition to BENETEAU's successful Trawler series. This range of 35- to 62-foot motorboats gives you the opportunity to explore new horizons. The seaworthiness, incredible living spaces, and comfort have won over a community of 1,000+ owners worldwide. The new Swift Trawler 48 is aptly placed in the 45+ foot long-distance cruising category. This mid-range motorboat has a strikingly stylish profile, featuring features including the chromed stainless steel-framed teak cladding also used on the new Grand Trawler 62 flagship.

Cruising on Open Waters

For confident seafaring, the Swift Trawler 48 accommodates 12 people in CE Category B. The hull is designed to optimize seakeeping and performance. The sleek, flared bow of the Swift Trawler 48 cuts through the water beautifully, resulting in efficient fuel consumption and safe, comfortable handling.

Range & Performance*

MICAD naval architects designed a semi-planing hull that optimizes fuel efficiency across the entire speed range. With 1930 liters of fuel on board, you can expect a range of +600 miles at 9 knots or 280 miles at 18 knots of efficient planing speed while maintaining a 10% fuel reserve. Combined with 640 liters of fresh water, this provides significant autonomy away from the dock. Swift Trawler DNA is focused on comfortable and economical cruising – the standard Cummins QSB 6.7-liter 380 hp engines generate a top speed of 21 knots, and with the upgrade to 425 hp engines, a top speed of 25 knots is within reach. This means there is always sufficient "reserve power" available to propel the boat faster than 20 knots.

The outdoor spaces – your connection to the water

The cockpit accommodates a table with fold-out leaves and two comfortable chairs, which, together with the large sofa, maximize the indoor/outdoor living space. Intelligent design features such as the foot-pedal-operated sliding flybridge ladder and the starboard side door with an acrylic wind deflector and handrail enhance the functionality and comfort of this area. The double walk-through provides access to a large swim platform with an optional hydraulic lift system capable of supporting a 350 kg dinghy. Simple, well-designed features, such as the swim ladder with high handles, ensure there's no easier way to enjoy the sea.

The generous 20 m² flybridge provides the space to create a comfortable layout, allowing you to enjoy the panoramic sea view every minute of the day. Handrails on either side of the pilot seat allow for multiple forward-facing seating options while cruising, while the transverse vis-à-vis seating and table area create a wonderful space for dining and relaxing. This can be further enhanced with the optional flybridge T-top with retractable soft top. Aft of the flybridge is a forward-facing wet bar, allowing for optimal interaction with those in the forward position while drinks and food are being prepared. Right at the aft end of the flybridge is space for sun loungers, paddleboards, etc.

On the foredeck, there's the option of a sundeck with lift-up sections that create seating – perfect for relaxing with a drink and a good book. The asymmetrical deck layout creates a wide and well-protected starboard side deck, with fixed high railings, providing safe and easy access to the foredeck.

The Main Salon – Space to Relax and Entertain

Entering through the French doors, there's a large L-shaped galley on the port side with a 255-liter refrigerator-freezer and generous tall storage cabinets. The standard galley features a gas oven or optional multifunction electric oven, a clever "magic corner" pull-out storage cabinet, cabinets, and drawers that guarantee ample capacity for extended cruising while still allowing for an optional dishwasher. The Corian countertop features a gas or induction cooktop and a large sink. Opposite the galley is a spacious sideboard with an integrated bottle rack.

The sideboard can be equipped with an ice maker, Villeroy & Boch tableware, and a lighted glassware cabinet above. In front of the galley is a large, raised U-shaped dinette with ample seating for up to eight people and a wonderful panoramic view. The seating area offers ample space.
