Excess 13
The Excess 13 is an award-winning cruising catamaran and winner of the 2026 European Yacht of the Year in the Family Cruiser category. This makes history: for the first time, a catamaran has won this title in a class traditionally dominated by monohulls. This recognition perfectly demonstrates what this boat stands for: sailing performance and handling, without compromising on comfort.
On Deck
The Excess 13 is designed for true sailing and to be enjoyed for extended periods. The helm position will immediately feel familiar to anyone new to monohulls. All halyards and sheets are controlled from the cockpit, and the helm offers a perfect overview. You can sail the boat entirely independently, without assistance.
The mast is positioned on the deck in front of the superstructure. This allows for an overlapping genoa and significantly enhances the sailing performance. For those who want to go even further, the Excess 13 is available in two configurations: the standard configuration and the Pulse Line. The latter offers a higher mast and a sportier sail configuration, without overcomplicating the overall design.
Indoors and outdoors flow seamlessly together. The interior space is deliberately kept understated. Outdoor living is truly enjoyable.
Below Decks
Below decks, the Excess 13 boasts a modern, bright, and contemporary design. She comes standard with three double cabins and three heads, with an interior bathed in natural light. The fully equipped galley cleverly connects the cockpit and saloon, enhancing the feeling of a single, open living space.
As with many catamarans, the Excess 13 surprises with its spaciousness, but here the "less is more" principle has been clearly chosen. Everything serves multiple functions and is sleek and beautifully finished. This is also reflected in the heads, which offer exceptional headroom and space for a boat in this class.
The true strength of the Excess 13 lies in her design and construction. Light and rigid, she is built to ensure comfort and luxury are not compromised by her handling. In other words: a catamaran that convincingly demonstrates that performance and comfort can go hand in hand.
Even more special: this award-winning Excess 13 is currently on display exclusively at our showroom in Bruinisse – the only dealer in Europe.
