Over dit Jacht
This is what the international press is saying about the Hallberg-Rassy 340:
Her price puts her far from the typical 34-foot family cruiser segment. But she offers enough refinements to justify this price. For that reason, and because she is the quintessential family boat, the Hallberg-Rassy 340 is nominated here. The shipyard has gone a long way to squeeze as much volume and functionality as possible out of her 10-meter hull length. With her wide aft section, the HR-340 almost belies her traditional Swedish heritage. However, twin rudders, excellent control under heavy pressure, and a spacious aft cabin justify the new design. All in all, one of the best—and also one of the fastest—production yachts of her size currently available.
Zeilen magazine published an extensive test report on the Hallberg-Rassy 340 and 44 for its March 2018 issue. (You can read it as a download in the documents section at the bottom of this page.)
Innovative yet timeless
The new Hallberg-Rassy 340 can rightly be called an innovative boat. The Swedish shipyard maintains proven success factors while also adapting to ongoing innovations in sailing.
For example, the Hallberg-Rassy 340 is equipped with dual rudders and dual steering wheels! The waterline is longer, and there's a fold-down swim platform. Both the cockpit and the saloon are considerably more spacious than in its predecessor, the Hallberg-Rassy 342.
With a clear long-term vision that combines the highest quality, superior design by Frers Design, and timeless comfort, the Swedish shipyard remains right. The order book has been well-filled for years, and with the growing economy, demand for high-quality Swedish yachts is increasing.
The Hallberg-Rassy 340 is a beautiful addition to the continuously developed model range. With a new 57-foot center cockpit on the horizon, the next Hallberg-Rassy is already born.
